Search Tips
Here are a few tips to increase your chances in finding unclaimed
money or property:
1) Check all potential states - you will want to check all the states
that you (or your relatives!)
have lived in
done business in
been incorporated in
Assets are typically returned to the state of the owners last known
address or state of incorporation if you owned a business.
2) Check all names - Don't forget to check your last name, your
maiden name, and remember to consider any name changes that may
have taken place over the years.
3) In addition to state searches you should do a national search
at least once a year.
